The Washington Carnegie Public Library has received a grant from Sparklight for a new project.

The $5,000 was donated from Sparklight’s Charitable Giving Fund.

Library Coordinators say the grant will help supply the library’s new Idea Corner with a laser cutter, circuit machine, editing software, iPads, laptops, a sewing machine, and more.

WCPL STEM Program Coordinator, Cailey Moreland, says the new Idea Corner will be used by the public further the future of STEM in our community by providing hands-on learning and assisting with critical thinking skills.
