The Odon Town Board has voted unanimously to approve a water rate increase.
According to the Odon Journal, the board met last week and agreed to raise the monthly bill to $38.78 for a minimum usage of 4,000 gallons a month.
The rate increase affects water only so sewage rates will remain the same.
Town Officials noted the increase is to help with the upkeep of ageing infrastructure throughout the town.
This is the first rate increase the town has seen since 1982.
The new schedule will be reflected in the February Statement.
