The Daviess County Commissioners approved an updated countywide COVID-19 Policy at yesterday’s meeting.
The update requires employees to quarantine for 5 days after testing positive for COVID.
When the employees return to work, they will need to mask up for another 5 days.
The policy also notes employees are not considered fully vaccinated unless they have received the COVID-19 vaccine booster shot.
Daviess County Health Nurse Kathy Sullender noted the reasoning for the CDC’s new guidance is that the new Omicron Variant is much quicker than previous variants, saying it spreads quicker and that patients get over it quicker.
She also gave an update on the situation in Daviess County…

Sullender stressed that it’s important to stay home if you’re sick to help mitigate the spread of the virus and other illnesses.
