A Posey County Deputy who was shot last October is heading home.
Posey County Deputy Brian Hicks, who was also a former Knox County deputy, has left the hospital and will continue recovering at home.
Hicks was shot in the head back in October while responding to a welfare check at a New Harmony residence.
His family says he still has more rehabilitation in his future, but as of right now, they say he is doing great.
The man who shot Hicks, 70-year-old Paul Wiltshire, was in jail awaiting trial.
He died in December from COVID-19 complications.
