A Jasper man is in jail after driving twice the legal limit.
On Sunday, just before 6:00 pm, an officer with the Jasper Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a black 2017 Toyota Tacoma for traveling 40-mph in a 25-mph zone.
During the traffic stop, officers believed the driver to be intoxicated.
After conducting a field sobriety test, the driver, identified as 50-year-old Patrick Schipp of Jasper, was taken in for a chemical test where he tested .179.
He was then booked into the Dubois County Jail and charged with Operating While Intoxicated, Operating While Intoxicated with a BAC of .15 or more, and Operating While Intoxicated with Endangerment.
