WHS Students Contributing to New Community Foundation

untitled-6a

Washington High School students are playing a key role in the launch of “Our Community Foundation”.
The new foundation in Daviess County is being created from scratch following separation from the Community Foundation Alliance.
President of the new Community Foundation Board Joe Singleton, says in addition to working on new polices and procedures, the organization needs a new logo and website.
WHS students have taken on that task and have been contributing to the new look in Evan Stoll’s Marketing class, Jenilee Counsil’s Art Class, and DeWayne Shake’s Broadcasting Class. Students are working on overall organization and design of the website, says Executive Director of the Foundation Mary Smith.
Several members of the Foundation Board have reviewed their work and given input along the way.
Next week, the entire Board will be making the final selection of a logo and website domain name.

Left to right are WHS students, Alex Hill, Xavier Frank, and Molly Jones. Their website design has been chosen for Our Community Foundation.

WHS students used their photography skills to complete the photography work for Our Community Foundation’s new website. Students working on the project were Kenli Barber, Emma Culver, Jesse Ledgerwood, Sydney Melton, Kencia Levasseur, Ben Grub, and Austin O’Brian.
