Vincennes Rivet girls defeated North Daviess last night 54-29.    

The Barr Reeve Lady Vikings host Loogootee tonight in Montgomery. Tip off at 7:30pm on the General 95.9 fm / 101.3 fm. 

The Washington Lady Hatchets are back on the road to Forest Park tonight. The Lady Rangers are 11-1 and Washington is 10-1. Tip is at off at 7:30 pm on Memories 107.9fm.

Washington Lady Hatchets 7th & 8th grade girls hosted the Bloomfield Cardinals at the Jr High Gym on Wednesday Night.  WJHS 7th grade girls would open the night with a 40-12 Win. Leading Scorer for the game was London Gilley with 12 pts.   
 
WJHS 8th Grade Girls would play in the second game of the night and close out with a  33-13 win. Both teams play Saturday at Home vs Mt. Vernon 

The Indiana Pacers crumbled in the fourth quarter and lost to the short-handed Milwaukee Bucks 114-99. Milwaukee outscored the Blue and Gold 27-12 over the final quarter, including a 21-0 run over a nearly-eight minute stretch. Justin Holiday gave the Pacers a 92-91 lead with 9:41 to play, and the Bucks scored the next 21 points to take control before Indiana scored with less than two minutes to go. The defending champs were without seven players, Domantas Sabonis and Caris LeVert each had 16 for the Pacers. The Bucks have won seven straight over Indiana. The Pacers are 12-18 and face Detroit Thursday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. 

Jimmie Johnson officially announced Wednesday that he will compete full-time in the IndyCar Series for Chip Ganassi Racing next season. The seven-time NASCAR Cup champion raced on only road and street courses as an IndyCar rookie in 2021, with a best finish of 17th in the final two races of the season. Johnson was expected to attempt to qualify for the 2022 Indianapolis 500 after going through the Rookie Orientation Program at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in October. His decision to run full-time means he will also compete in oval races at Texas, Iowa, and World Wide Technology Raceway outside of St. Louis. The 46-year-old California native said in a statement that racing in the Indy 500 is a “childhood dream come true.” Carvana will be Johnson’s main sponsor in the number 48 Honda, which was unveiled on the “Today Show.” 

The college football early National Signing Day was Wednesday, and a pair of Indiana schools ended with top-20 classes nationally. Notre Dame signed the nation’s seventh-best class, according to 24-7 Sports. New coach Marcus Freeman brought in 21 signees, including 15 of the nation’s 300 best high school seniors. Indiana signed the 20th-ranked class, according to 24-7 Sports, the best in program history. The Hoosiers inked 18 players, headlined by Bloomington South linebacker Dasan McCullough, the son of IU’s associate head coach Deland McCullough. Purdue’s recruiting class was ranked second in the Big Ten West and 39th nationally. The Boilers’ 20-man class is headlined by Gibson Southern quarterback and Indiana Mr. Football finalist Brady Allen.
