READI Grant Recipients Announced

Grant money is being dispersed throughout the Hoosier State as part of the READI (Regional Economic Acceleration & Development Initiative) Program.
The Indiana Uplands Region will receive funding in the amount of $30 million. The Uplands Region encompasses Owen, Greene, Monroe, Brown, Daviess, Martin, Lawrence, Dubois, Orange, Washington, and Crawford counties.
“A Region on the Rise,” the development plan submitted for the counties by Regional Opportunity Initiatives and Radius Indiana, was among the 17 proposals accepted for funding by the Indiana Economic Development Corporation.
The Indiana first region which includes Knox, Pike, Perry, and Spencer Counties will get $15 Million.
The Southwest Indiana Regional Development Authority will receive $50 million, and the Wabash River Regional Development Authority received $20 million.
Details will be released by the Indiana EDC at a later date about how much each county will receive.
