A man from Tell City is accused of attempting to meet up with a 12-year-old he communicated with over Snapchat.
34-year-old David Randall was arrested Monday after going to a house in Tell City with the intention of having sex with the child.
Police started looking into Randall after he was accused of using Snapchat to talk to the child.
TCPD says detectives monitored the messages between Randall and the victim and determined that the communication was “sexually motivated” and that Randall was aware of the child’s age, according to WEVV.
When Randall showed up at a home in Tell City to meet the child, he found detectives waiting to arrest him.
He was booked into the Perry County Jail on charges of attempted child molestation, child solicitation, and inappropriate communication with a child.
