Dan Gress is stepping down from Washington’s Plan Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals after 24 years of service.
Prior to last night’s City Council meeting, Board of Zoning Appeals Chairman Don Spillman and Plan Commission Chairman Bill Summers presented Gress with a plaque honoring his service to the City of Washington.
Spillman said the two boards would miss Gress’s input and expertise.
Summers noted that Gress had served under five Mayors of both parties.
When accepting the award, Gress stated he felt serving on the two boards was a way he could use his abilities to serve the residents of the Washington Community.
