The Washington Hatchets grabbed a tough overtime win over Forest Park at the Hatchet House Saturday 61-59. Logan Riester finished with 31 points in the win. Washington will host Bosse Friday night.

Purdue stormed back to beat North Carolina State 82-72 in overtime Sunday in Brooklyn. Trevion Williams had 22 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists to lead the top-ranked Boilermakers, which overcame a 13-point second half deficit and did not lead until overtime. Jaden Ivey added 22 points and seven rebounds, as Purdue avoided going 0-2 for the week. Purdue closed to within four at halftime, the Wolfpack quickly extended the lead to 12. The Boilers needed an 18-6 run to tie the game 64 in the final minute. NC State re-took the lead, but Sasha Stefanovic sent the game to OT with a driving layup with 21 seconds left. The game was played in Brooklyn as part of the Hall of Fame Invitational, and the Boilers are 3-0 against ACC teams this season. Purdue’s reign as the top-ranked team in the country will be short lived, as the Boilers went 1-1 this week with a loss to Rutgers Thursday. Purdue is 9-1, and will take on Butler Saturday in the Crossroads Classic in Indianapolis. 

Indiana struggled early, but cruised to an 81-49 victory over Merrimack Sunday afternoon. The Hoosiers led by six at halftime, and outscored the Warriors 45-19 in the second half, including a 13-0 run. Trayce Jackson-Davis had 16 points, nine rebounds and three blocks for IU, which improved to 8-2. Race Thompson added 14 points and seven boards on 6-for-6 shooting, and Jordan Geronimo had his first career double-double with 13 and 13 off the bench. IU outrebounded Merrimack 54-16, and shot 22 more free throws. Merrimack is located in Andover, Massachusetts and is in its third season of Division 1 play. The Hoosiers face Notre Dame Saturday in the Crossroads Classic in Indianapolis. 

The Indiana Pacers host the red-hot Golden State Warriors Monday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse. The Blue and Gold beat the Mavericks Friday night and have won three in a row for the first time this season. Golden State is 21-5, and guard Steph Curry is on the verge of history. Curry is seven 3-pointers away from breaking Ray Allen’s all-time NBA record for most career threes. Indiana will once again be without head coach Rick Carlisle, who remains in the NBA’s health and safety protocols after testing positive for COVID-19. The Pacers will be led by assistant coach Lloyd Pierce. Guard Justin Holiday is questionable after missing the last five games due to COVID-19. Tip off between the Pacers and Warriors is at 7 p.m. Eastern. 

Sunday night Football, the Packers defeated the Bears in Green Bay 45 to 30.  The Monday Night matchup tonight has Arizona hosting the Rams.
