Knox County Police are ready to get a new emergency app in the hands of Hoosiers.
Last year, Knox County Police Dispatch Director Rob McMullen had planned a few events, meant to introduce the Smart911 emergency app to the community.
But of course, the pandemic put a stop to that.
The Smart911 app lets you set up a profile with important medical information and other personal info, which first responders can access during an emergency call to your home.
McMullen tells WTHI that info will allow responders to be quickly informed and ready to help you, without wasting any valuable time.
