38 New cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Daviess County since Friday, October 29th. That’s according to the latest update from the Daviess County Health Department.
Of the new cases, 33 individuals were unvaccinated with 4 of those being children under the age of 11. The other 5 individuals were fully vaccinated. No additional deaths have been reported since last week.
Meanwhile, the Daviess County Health Department has been busy with vaccinations. Vaccines are currently available by appointment only.
Hoosiers with compromised immune systems or those over the age of 65 are currently eligible for the booster dose.
Daviess County Health Nurse Kathy Sullender says they also started pediatric COVID-19 vaccines on Thursday….
Daviess County is currently showing a 7-day positivity rate of 8.7% which is down from last week. Daviess has also moved out of the Orange and is now in Yellow Status.
Knox, Pike, and Dubois County are also in Yellow Status.
Martin and Gibson Counties remain in the Orange.
