“Prescription Drug Take Back” set for this Saturday

Indiana State Police will once again partner with the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) for their 21st nationwide “Prescription Drug Take Back” initiative.

The “Take Back” initiative seeks to prevent prescription drug abuse and theft through proper disposal of prescription drugs.

The drug takeback day will be held this Saturday October 23rd.

There will be several locations across the area you can drop off your unused medications or used needles.

For those in Washington, you can drop them off at Eastside Park from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm this Saturday. This will be a drive through only event.

For those in Jasper, you can drop off your prescriptions at the Indiana State Police Jasper Post located at 2209 Newton Street in Jasper from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm.
