
In the Barr-Reeve Volleyball Tourney on Saturday the Viking finished with two wins against two loses. In the opening match the Viking defeated Northview in two sets 25-14 and 25-18.
In the second match the Vikings were defeated by Heritage Hills in two sets 29-27 and 25-21.
In the third set the Vikings were victorious over Indianapolis Lutheran 25-15 and 25-18.
After winning their pool on the point system, the Vikings were pitted against Terre Haute South in the Championship match and loss 2 sets to 0.

The Barr-Reeve tennis team won their match against Gibson Southern 4-1 at Gibson Southern tennis courts moving their record to 8-1 on the season.
Country Oaks hosted local high school lady golfers for the PAC golf tournament on a rainy Saturday afternoon. Lady Hatchet golfers took 6th place out of the 13 team field with a score of 406. Hatchet senior golfer Kenli Barber took home All Conference honors with a score of 89 and tie for 7th place. Gibson Southern won the PAC title with a team score of 338.
A tiebreaking RBI single in the eighth inning gave the Chicago Cubs a 4-3 win over the Cincinnati Reds. The Cubs have won a season-high seven straight, while the Reds have dropped seven out of nine and are one game back of San Diego for the final NL wild card spot. In St. Louis, the Los Angeles Dodgers scored four runs in the first inning and cruised to a 5-1 win over the Cardinals.
The Indianapolis Colts activated left tackle Eric Fisher off the NFL’s reserve/COVID-19 list Monday. Fisher signed with Indianapolis this offseason and is coming off of a torn Achilles in the AFC Championship game in January with the Chiefs. He tested positive for COVID-19 before the Colts’ final preseason game and had to sit out for 10 days. While Fisher is not expected to play in the regular season opener this Sunday against the Seahawks, being placed on the active roster is a sign he will play within the first three weeks.
The Phoenix Mercury held off a late comeback to defeat the Indiana Fever 86-81 Monday night at the Indiana Farmers Coliseum. The Fever are 6-21 on the season after back-to-back losses to the Mercury. They play at Minnesota Friday night.
