The Pike County Business Grant program has awarded several grants to Pike County businesses.
The Pike County Commissioners and Pike County Economic Development Corporation were awarded $250,000 from the Community Development Block Grant and the Office of Community and Rural Affairs for COVID relief.
Twenty-three local businesses have been approved to receive individual amounts of COVID relief funding totaling $177,000.
Officials say the grant assistance is to be used to relieve hardships caused by COVID-19 to retain local businesses and employees.
The Pike County EDC says awarded businesses should expect a letter sometime next week.
