The Chicago Cubs rallied for a 4-3 win over the Pirates Tuesday in Pittsburgh. The Buccos took a 3-0 lead off of Jake Arrieta in the second inning, but the Cubs scored once in the third and three times in the fifth to take control. Arrieta earned the victory to run his record to 5-4 on the season, and he is 3-0 against Pittsburgh. Elsewhere in the National League, the Cincinnati Reds held on to beat the Washington Nationals 2-1 in D.C. The Reds’ two runs came on a Kyle Farmer solo home run in the third, and an Eugenio (ay-you-HAY-nee-oh) Suarez long ball in the sixth. Cincinnati snapped a five-game skid thanks in part to Tyler Mahle’s five and a third scoreless innings.
