Ivy Tech Evansville and Pike County Progress Partners have announced a collaboration with the Elmer Buchta Entrepreneurship & Technology Center.
The partnership will offer education and training throughout the area.
The new tech center is located just off I-69 in Petersburg, and serves not only Pike County, but also the surrounding counties.
Ivy Tech Chancellor Daniela Vidal says they will work closely with IPL, the Pike County School Corporation, and other community partners to determine the workforce training needs, and create opportunities for local employers and residents.
Classes at the Center will begin this coming August and will focus on existing and emerging industries in the area including renewable energy.
Scholarship opportunities are available.
Anyone interested in training or classes should contact John Snowden at 812-385-8495.
