According to a police report, crews had their hands full with multiple accidents on Monday.
Around 4:30 am Monday, police reported that a Martin County man had driven into a ditch. No injuries were reported, but police say the vehicle had heavy front end damage.
At 10:30 am Monday, crews responded to an accident involving two trucks in Loogootee. The crash was initially believed to be head on, but no injuries were reported.
Again around 11:30 am, Rescue 9 & Attack 91 crews responded to a single vehicle accident North of Washington. The driver was uninjured but a telephone poll was heavily damaged in addition to a highway bike sign.
Lastly, at about 5:30 pm, crews responded to an accident on I-69 in Washington. According to a police report, it was a car vs semi hit and run incident. The two female occupants in the car were uninjured and police did locate the semi. This investigation is on-going.
Officials remind motorists to slow down and stay alert when driving past the scene of an accident.
