A Haubstadt man was arrested on a battery charge over the weekend.
On Friday, around 7:30 pm, Gibson County Central Dispatch received a report of a battery that had already occurred.
A deputy was dispatched to the 200 block of East State Road 68 to investigate the incident.
Upon arriving at the residence the officer conducted an investigation and later placed 28-year-old Dorean Thorpe of Haubstadt into custody.
Thorpe was then transported to the Gibson County Jail.
Upon arriving at the jail, he was charged with Battery.
He has since posted a $1500 bond.
