Indiana Congresswoman Jackie Walorski says she is glad Gov. Holcomb is ending all federal unemployment benefits associated with COVID relief, beginning June 19.
She made a video thanking Holcomb, also pointing out she and several other Republicans sent a letter to governors last week, asking them to end the benefits.
Some Democrats have pointed out that people have different reasons for not returning to the workforce.
Holcomb said the end of the benefits won’t solve the employment problem completely.
Other Republican governors have done the same thing, hoping to give people incentive to get back to work.
