The 900 E project was a big topic of discussion at yesterday’s Board of Commissioners meeting.

The 40 million dollar project, with about 8 million of that in local dollars, spans roughly a decade. A ribbon cutting ceremony was held yesterday to celebrate construction. The project is currently in phase four of the five. The expansion of 900 E includes the addition of turn lanes and a lane for non motor transportation.

At yesterday’s meeting, the Commissioners also approved the creation of an and ARP Task-force to handle spending. They also gave an overview of the Courthouse Committee meeting last week. The Commissioners reported that the meeting went well and that the project is progressing.

Lastly, the Commissioners discussed the Old National Bank Building that the county currently posses. The Commissioners agreed to have it appraised and put up for bid.
