More details have become available regarding a fatal fire in Loogootee.
Crews responded to the fire around 7 PM Saturday night on SR 550 in Loogootee.
According to the Washington Times Herald 72-year-old Robert Osborne died in the fire of smoke inhalation.
Fire officials say they attempted to get to Osborne, but the flames wouldn’t allow it.
Crews battled the fire for hours.
No foul play is suspected and State Fire Marshals are still working to determine the cause and source of the fire.
