New COVID cases in Daviess County are the lowest they have been in nearly a year. On Friday, the Daviess County Health Department reported just one more case since Wednesday. The total case count since last year now stands at 2,856. No additional deaths have been reported in almost two weeks so that number is still at 96. 11,395 residents have been tested for the virus to date.
Half of the state is now in Blue Status including Daviess and the surrounding counties. Daviess county currently has a 7-day-positivity rate of 2.8%.
Health officials remind residents that while new cases have been declining, it is still important to wear a mask and social distance.
