Maxine Dean, 91, of Vincennes, Indiana went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 2, 2021. Maxine was born on July 7, 1929, in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. She was the daughter of Clyde and Nellie (Price) Miller. Maxine married Robert E. Dean on September 2, 1950 in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. She graduated from Mt. Carmel High School and attended Eastern University. She was the Children’s Librarian at the Knox County Library for 26 years and taught Pre-Scholl for 10 years. Maxine loved children, especially teaching and helping them. She was a faithful member of the Word of Life Church. Those who are cherishing her memory are daughter Bonnie Dean, her four-legged grand dogs Abby and Molly. Nieces; Barbara Stanley, Beverly Simone, and Taylor (Ian) Bryce. Nephews; Steve (Cathy) Miller, Dr. Edward (George Ann) Miller, and Dr. David (Barbara) Miller. Those greeting her in Heaven are husband Robert, her parents, her daughter Kathy Dean, brothers Dr. Kermit Miller and Lloyd Miller, and her sister Kathryn Woods. There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be held Friday, March 5, 2021, at Highland Cemetery in Mt. Carmel, Illinois. Procession to the cemetery will start at 10:30 a.m. from the Goodwin- Sievers Funeral home 524 Broadway Street, Vincennes, Indiana, 47591. Pastor’s Don Fausnaugh and John Moreland will be officiating the graveside service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Word of Life Church, Bicknell, Indiana.
