A new technology center is opening in Pike County. The Elmer Buchta Technology Center is set to open later this month. The building is located just off the Petersburg I-69 exit on State Road 67.
The project started about seven years ago was aimed at creating a place that students could use for prototype development.
Elmer Buchta, whom the building is named after, donated seed funding in the amount $200,000 for a community foundation grant.
The project cost about $2.5 dollars and was made possible by several community donations and grants.

An open house will be held on March 12th from 1 PM until 4 PM and from 5 PM to 8 PM.
