Douglas Edward Cantwell, 58, of Vincennes, Indiana passed away February 27th at Eskenazi Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Doug was born Feb ruary 5, 1963 in Vincennes to the late Raymond and Georgia (Shorter) Cantwell. On February 2, 1990 he married the former Mary Littrell. She survives in Eldorado. Also surviving are stepdaughter, Angie (Bryce) Hampton of Eldorado, granddaughter Lauryn Hampton of Eldorado, aunts Joanne Plott of Mt. Vernon, Indiana, Janice Tapley of Vincennes, Indiana, and Rita Smith of Vincennes, Indiana.
In addition to his parents, Doug was preceded in death by a stepson, Kevin Thrasher, and an infant brother Roy.
Doug was a coal miner for most of his life. He enjoyed watching football, playing games, and being with his family. Services will be held Wednesday, March 3rd at 1:00 p.m. (12:00 p.m. CST) with visitation beginning at 12:00 p.m. (11:00 a.m. CST) until service time at Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 524 Broadway Street in Vincennes.
