Purdue goes on the road tonight at Penn State. The Boilermakers have not played since winning at Nebraska last Saturday to improve to 15-8 overall and 10-6 in the Big Ten. The Boilermakers are one point underdogs for the 7 p.m. tipoff from Happy Valley.
The NCAA announced contingency plans for if a team in next month’s men’s basketball tournament has to bow out due to COVID-19. In the event a team has COVID issues and is not able to play in the Big Dance, a replacement team will be added. The 68-team bracket will be unveiled Sunday, March 14th, and teams can only be added within 48 hours of the bracket reveal. Replacement teams will not be added after tournament games begin, and if a team is added, they will be slotted in where the departing team was in the bracket.
The Indiana Pacers try to return to winning ways tonight on the road against the Boston Celtics. The Blue and Gold played their first game in a week Wednesday night at home against Golden State, and lost 111-107 when the Warriors pulled away late. Indiana is 15-15 and is fourth in the Eastern Conference standings.
