Indiana chooses route for new toll bridge into Kentucky

Indiana has picked the route for a planned new toll bridge from Evansville into Kentucky. Indiana’s been choosing among five possible routes to connect the bridge to I-69, including upgrading or replacing the U-S 41 bridge. Instead, INDOT spokesman Scott Manning says that bridge will remain, while the two states join forces to build a new one. He says that’ll create an interstate-quality route across the river, further extending I-69, while leaving a non-toll option for local traffic. The bridge will connect to I-69 from southeast of downtown Evansville.
