The Washington Hatchets fought off a tough challenge from Gibson Southern on the road last night and defeated the Titans in overtime 55 to 54.  Washington was led by Trey Reed with 23 points.  The Hatchets are now 3 and 7 and will travel to PIke Central on Saturday night.

Purdue freshman guard Jaden Ivey knocked down a 3-pointer with five seconds to go and the Boilermakers upset 15th ranked Ohio State 67-65 in Columbus.   The Boilermakers are 11-5 overall with a 6-3 Big Ten record. Purdue was led by Trevion Williams, who scored 16 points, The Boilers host seventh-ranked Michigan on Friday.
Butler has won two in a row after beating DePaul 67-53 Tuesday night in Chicago.
The NCAA announced a condensed schedule for the men’s basketball tournament, which will be held entirely in Indiana in March and April. The so-called “First Four” games will be played Thursday, March 18th, which is normally the first full day of first round contests. The round of 64 will be played that Friday and Saturday March 19th and 20th, with the second round taking place Sunday and Monday. The Sweet 16 games will be held Saturday, March 27th and Sunday, March 28th at Bankers Life Fieldhouse and Hinkle Fieldhouse, with the Elite Eight games the following Monday and Tuesday at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Final Four will still be held April 3rd at Lucas Oil Stadium with the national championship game Monday night April 5th.
The Indiana Pacers return home to Bankers Life Fieldhouse to take on the Dallas Mavericks Wednesday night. The Blue and Gold are 8-5 after going 2-2 on a week-long West Coast road trip.
