Washington held on for a big win at home Saturday night over Jasper at the Hatchet House 50 to 47,   The Hatchets are 2 and 6 and will travel to Gibson Southern tomorrow night.

The Barr Reeve Vikings narrowly captured the Buggy Bowl title on Saturday night by edging out North Daviess 39 to 38 at North Daviess.  Barr Reeve improved to 12 and 2, North Daviess falls to 10 and 2.  North Daviess has announced some schedule changes.  The Cougars will host Linton on February 16th.  That game was originally scheduled for January 22nd.  The North Daviess vs Bloomington Lighthouse game is now January 23rd, moved from February 16th.  The Washington Catholic vs Bloomington Lighthouse game will now be February 16th.
Barr Reeve will host Evansville Christian on February 16th.  An addition to the schedule next month.

The Kansas City Chiefs had lost Patrick Mahomes to a concussion and were in danger of losing the game but managed to  hold off the Cleveland Browns 22-17 on Sunday to advance to their third straight AFC championship game. The Chiefs begin preparing for the Bills next Sunday. They beat them 26-17 in Buffalo in Week 6.
The New Orleans Saints embarrassed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the regular season, sweeping Tom Brady and Co. to enter Sunday night’s divisional round rematch as obvious favorites at home. At the Mercedes-Benz Superdome Redemption, was on the Bucs minds and they got their 30-20 upset, as Brady and Bruce Arians are now headed to the NFC Championship Game with a shot at reaching the Super Bowl. Next up for Brady and Co will be the Packers for the NFC Championship, their first championship appearance since 2002.  Brady will play in his 14th conference championship in Green Bay.
 Purdue has won three in a row after an 80-72 win over Penn State at Mackey Arena Sunday. All five starters scored in double figures.  The Boilers are now 10-5 and 5-3 in the Big Ten. Purdue takes on Ohio State in Columbus Tuesday in a game that was moved up as part of schedule adjustments due to COVID-19.

The shorthanded Indiana Pacers fell to the Los Angeles Clippers 129-96 to end a four-game West Coast trip 2-2. Doug McDermott led the Blue and Gold with 23 in his first start of the season, while Domantas Sabonis recorded another double-double with 19 points and 14 rebounds. The Pacers were without starter Myles Turner, who sat out with a hand injury. Newly acquired wing Caris LeVert is out indefinitely after a small mass was located on his kidney during his physical, while T.J. Warren remains out with a foot injury.
