Firefighters battle brush fire behind Daviess County Tire

According to the Washington Times Herald, Washington Township firefighters spent more than two hours fighting a brush fire Wednesday evening. The brush fire happened in a field behind Daviess County Tire. It was reported that the property owner had cleared three acres of woods last fall and left it piled in the field. Firefighters say there was concern due to quite a bit of smoke and high winds that day. Firefighters with the help of Don Gress Construction were able to separate the brush piles and contain the fire. No was injured.
