Indiana COVID-19 Update

On Thursday, the Indiana Department of Health reported 4,411 new cases of coronavirus across the state. That brings the total number of Hoosiers who’ve tested positive for COVID-19 to 578,494. The department also reported 40 new deaths, bringing the total number of Hoosiers who’ve died due to the virus to 8,830. So far, over 6.2-million Hoosiers have been tested for coronavirus. The state’s current overall positivity rate is at 10.9-percent, while the seven-day positivity rate sits at 15.3-percent.

Indiana recently announced that residents over the age of 70 may register to get the COVID-19 vaccine. Eligible individuals can register to receive the vaccine by going to ourshot.in.gov or by calling 211. If you have any questions, please direct them to the Health Department at (812)-254-8666.
