The Barr Reeve Lady Vikings squeaked out a close win over Orleans last night 28-27.  The Lady Vikings are now 7-4 with a road trip to NE Dubois tomorrow.

North Daviess beat Shakamak 45-28.  The Lady Cougars go to 9-5 on the year.
South Knox topped Shoals 67-45
Loogootee edged out Vincennes Lincoln 47-46
Jasper is at Gibson Southern tonight.  Tip off at 8pm.
The South Knox boys travel to Evansville Bosse.
St. John’s defeated Butler 69-57 Tuesday night in Queens, New York. The Red Storm held the Bulldogs to 6-for-24 shooting from 3-point range to drop Butler to 3-7 overall and 2-5 in the Big East.
Notre Dame will try to win its first ACC game of the season this afternoon at 18th ranked Virginia. The Fighting Irish are 3-7 overall and 0-4 in conference play after Sunday’s loss at Virginia Tech.  Virginia and Notre Dame tip off at 4:30 p.m. Eastern from John Paul Jones Arena in Charlottesville.
Indiana football coach Tom Allen was named the National Coach of the Year by the American Football Coaches Association. The award is voted on by other AFCA members at FBS schools. He is the third IU coach to win the award following John Pont in 1967 and Bo McMillin in 1945. Allen earned a 100 thousand dollar bonus for winning the award. The New Castle native was also named the Big Ten Coach of the Year and is a finalist for the Paul “Bear” Bryant Coach of the Year Award and the George Munger College Coach of the Year Award as well. The Hoosiers finished the season 6-2 with a loss in the Outback Bowl to Ole Miss. Indiana was ranked 12th in the final AP Top 25, their highest end of season ranking since finishing fourth in 1967.
Chicago Bears defensive coordinator and former Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano has decided to retire. The 60-year-old Pagano went 53-43 as the Colts head coach from 2012 through 2017 with three playoff berths and an AFC Championship game appearance. He replaced Vic Fangio as Chicago’s defensive coordinator in 2019. Before becoming the Colts head coach, he ran the Baltimore Ravens defense with superstars Ed Reed and Ray Lewis. After being diagnosed with leukemia and missing 12 games in 2012, the Colts rallied around their coach with the #ChuckStrong campaign and made a surprise playoff appearance. Bears head coach Matt Nagy and general manager Ryan Pace are expected to return after the team went 8-8 and lost in the Wild Card round to the Saints after a 5-1 start.
Indianapolis Colts left tackle Anthony Castonzo announced his retirement after ten seasons. He was drafted in the first round out of Boston College in 2011 and has been a stalwart on Indy’s offensive line ever since. Castonzo started all 144 regular season games and eight playoff contests he played in over his career. The 32-year-old said he knew it was time and said he has no regrets about his career. He missed the final two games of this season with an ankle injury and stepped away with one year and 16 million dollars left on his contract.
The Indiana Pacers went on a 13-0 run down the stretch and beat the Golden State Warriors 104-95 Tuesday night in San Francisco. Myles Turner scored a season-high 22 to go with 11 rebounds and four blocks.
