Many Hoosier seniors are getting their shot. According to the Indiana Department of Health, nearly 90,000 thousand Hoosiers, age 80 and up, have signed up for the coronavirus vaccine. Hoosiers in the age group became eligible to receive the COVID-19 shot on Friday. The department says Hoosiers 80 and up make up just 4-percent of the state’s population, but make-up nearly 20-percent of coronavirus hospitalizations and half of Indiana coronavirus deaths.
