Indiana is expanding who’s eligible for the coronavirus vaccine. So far, vaccinations have been limited to health care workers, nursing home residents, and most recently, first responders. Starting Friday, anyone 80 and up can get vaccinated. The plan is to go to people in their 70s next and then 60s. State Department of Health chief medical officer Lindsay Weaver says if vaccine shipments meet the expected pace of 70-thousand doses a week, vaccinations should reach people in their 60s next month.
