Hoosier leaders are responding to actions in the U.S. Capitol. Governor Holcomb issued a statement calling it “saddening and sickening,” saying he condemns the violence and that it is “never acceptable.” Newly elected Congresswoman Victoria Spartz tweeted that the lawlessness is “unacceptable” and asked rioters to let the Democratic process play out peacefully. Senator Todd Young said what happened “goes against everything we stand for as a nation” and that the violence is “reprehensible.”
