After being tied at halftime, the Washington Lady Hatchets turned it up in the second half holding Southridge to just 7 points and beat the Lady Raiders at the Hatchet House 54-29.  The Lady Hatchets are now 11-1 and will host Pike Central tomorrow.

Brooklyn Jones is the newest member of the 1000 point club at Loogootee as Loogootee posted a big win at Shoals 89-29.  Congratulations Brooklyn!

In Boys basketball, Barr Reeve topped Orleans on the road 53-42.  The Vikings host Mater Dei Friday night.  The Barr Reeve vs Castle game on Saturday has been postponed.

Washington Jr High girls played at Forest Park tonight.  7th grade girls opened the night with a 31-18 Win on the road and 8th girls finished the night with a start to finish rout 32-7.  Both teams play @ North Knox tomorrow night. Both teams are now 8-1.
Notre Dame’s home basketball game scheduled for Wednesday night has been postponed due to COVID-19, according to the Atlantic Coast Conference. The postponement comes after a positive test and subsequent quarantining and contact tracing within the Georgia Tech program. No make-up date was announced for the contest. The Fighting Irish are 3-6 overall and 0-3 in the ACC. Notre Dame’s next scheduled game is Sunday evening at Virginia Tech.
The Butler Bulldogs return to Hinkle Fieldhouse Wednesday night to take on Big East foe Georgetown.
The Indiana Pacers are back at Bankers Life Fieldhouse to take on James Harden and the Houston Rockets Wednesday night. The Pacers are coming off a thrilling comeback win on the road the New Orleans Pelicans Monday night, which improved the Blue and Gold to 5-2 on the young season. Houston is 2-3 and is coming off a home loss to Dallas Monday.
Indianapolis Colts legends Peyton Manning and Reggie Wayne were named two of the 15 finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Manning is a virtual lock to be enshrined in Canton, Ohio on his first try. He won five league MVP awards and is widely considered one of the best players in NFL history. After 14 years with the Colts, including a Super Bowl victory, he went on to have a career resurgence in Denver. One of his favorite targets in Indy was Reggie Wayne, who is a finalist for the second straight year. Wayne is second in franchise history in catches, yards and touchdowns behind Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison.
