The Washington Lady Hatchets continue to roll grabbing their fifth straight win and improving to 10-1 with a 61-42 victory over Vincennes Lincoln at the Hatchet House last night.  Four hatchets posted double figures in the win.  Washington returns to action tonight back hone against Southridge.  Tip off at 7:30 on Memories 107.9fm.
The Washington Catholic Lady Cardinals dropped a game to Wood Memorial 63-23.  Washington Catholic plays at Barr Reeve tonight.  Tip off at 6pm on the General 95.9 / 101.3 / AM 1580.
Speaking of Barr Reeve, the Lady Vikings got a nice win in overtime on the road last night at White River Valley 55-52.  The Lady Vikes are now 5-3.

Jasper is at home with Evansville Reitz.  The Jasper vs Vincennes game on Friday has been postponed.  Vincennes has now postponed their next five games.

The NCAA announced Monday that the state of Indiana will host the entirety of the NCAA Men’s Basketball tournaments this spring. The Division 1 tournament known as March Madness will be held in six venues in Central Indiana, including Lucas Oil Stadium, Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Indiana Farmers Coliseum, Hinkle Fieldhouse, Bloomington’s Assembly Hall and West Lafayette’s Mackey Arena. The decision was made to ensure the tournament can happen safely in a bubble-like atmosphere after the 2020 tournament was canceled due to the pandemic. Selection Sunday remains March 14th with the Final Four and national championship game taking place April 3rd and 5th at Lucas Oil Stadium. The Division 2 tournament will be held in Evansville, while the Division 3 event will take place in Fort Wayne. The families of players and coaches will be able to attend, and the decision on if any fans can attend will be made at a later date.
 Indiana overcame a dismal first half and defeated Maryland 63-55 Monday night at Assembly Hall. Trayce Jackson-Davis scored 22 points and pulled down 15 boards, and the Hoosiers outscored the Terrapins 42-28 in the second half. Over the first 20 minutes, IU scored just 21 points and shot 30 percent from the field.
Purdue’s men’s basketball game scheduled for tonight against Nebraska has been postponed as mutually agreed upon by both teams due to health and safety concerns regarding COVID-19. The schools will work with the Big Ten to reschedule the game at a later date. The Boilermakers are 7-5 and coming off back-to-back road losses at ranked opponents. Purdue’s game Friday against Michigan State is still on as planned, according to a program spokesperson.
Malcolm Brogdon hit a one-handed runner with 1.7 seconds left to go in overtime and the Indiana Pacers finished off a remarkable comeback with a 118-116 win over the New Orleans Pelicans. The Blue and Gold scored the final 10 points of regulation and trailed by six in the final seconds. Victor Oladipo made a 3-pointer with 20 seconds to go and then stole the ball from Lonzo Ball, which led to a Myles Turner game-tying three with 6.9 seconds to go.
