The Washington Lady Hatchets claimed the tourney championship on Saturday at Plainfield as they won two to bring home the trophy.  In the morning game, the Hatchets held off a tough challenge from host Plainfield winning 48 to 45.  For the championship, the girls faced Indianapolis Roncalli and grabbed the title over the defending tourney champs 51 to 48.  The Lady Hatchets are now 9 and 1 with a busy week this week.  Washington plays Vincennes tonight, Southridge tomorrow and Pike Central Thursday all at home before a road trip to Princeton Saturday afternoon.
Loogootee girls fell to Tecumseh on Saturday 49 to 45

Vincennes Rivet will host Jasper tonight
In Boys hoops Saturday, the Barr Reeve defeated Washington at the Hatchet House 72 to 45.  The Vikings improved to 8 and 2 while Washington drops to 0 and 5.
In the final day of the ONB Classic at North Daviess Saturday, Rock Creek Academy beat Rushville 61 to 34.  Shoals topped South Knox 51 to 34.  North
Daviess over Southridge 32 to 28, and Loogootee claimed the championship by defeating Brownstown Central 51 to 44.

Rivet topped Cannelton 51 to 25
The Indianapolis Colts squeaked into the playoffs but have a tough road ahead.  The Colts will open against the Red hot Buffalo Bills.  Kickoff at 1pm Saturday.
The Steelers face the Cleveland Browns at 8pm Sunday night.
Tennessee has the Ravens in round one at 1pm Sunday.
Kansas City sits in the drivers seat with a first round bye.
In the NFC, the Saints will open the post season against the Bears at 4:30pm Sunday.
Seattle faces the Rams at 4:30pm Saturday.
Washington has Tampa Bay at 8pm Saturday night.
The Packers have the first round bye.
College Bowl games Saturday, the Indiana Hoosiers fell to Ole Miss 26-20.
Kentucky upset NC State 23-21
Iowa State over Oregon 34-17
Texas A&M beat North Carolina 41-27
Friday, Alabama topped Notre Dame 31-14, while Ohio State dealt Clemson a big blow 49-28.  The National Championship is set for next Monday night featuring Alabama against Ohio State in Miami.
Tonight, the Indiana Hoosiers face Maryland at Assembly Hall in college hoops.  Tip off at 8pm.
The Purdue Boilers return to action tomorrow against Nebraska.  Purdue fell Saturday to #15 Illinois 66-58.
