Loogootee Mayor Noel Harty will Swear in the city’s new Police Chief in a private ceremony today. Jim Floyd will serve in the new position and a meet and greet will follow the Ceremony from 11:00am – 1:00pm in the Common Council Room of City Hall. Floyd will replace Kelly Rayhill who has served at the post for the past 20 years. Chief Rayhill will remain on the Department as the Assistant Police Chief.
