
The National Wreaths Across America Day is today, and a special program is planned for 11am at the Vincennes City Cemeteries on Willow Street. Each December on the National Wreaths Day, the mission to “Remember, Honor, and Teach”, is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at over 1200 cemeteries across the United States, including Arlington National in Washington D.C. Event organizer Keth Doades says that there over 3,000 veterans burred in Vincennes..

The program is open to the public. Wreaths Across America in Vincennes is a joint effort by the Vincennes Kiwanis and Rotary Clubs. Volunteers are also being sought to help distribute wreaths to the grave-sites of veterans. Volunteers can simply show up today at 11am.
