The Barr Reeve Vikings improved to 2-0 with a big win over 4A Bloomington South last night in their first home game in the new gym 41-36. Barr Reeve will face another tough team Friday night against Southridge in the River City Classic at the Ford Center in Evansville.

The Baltimore Ravens defeated the Dallas Cowboys last night in a Tuesday night game 34-17. Lamar Jackson returned for the Ravens picking up where he left off with a stellar performance in Baltimore’s win. Next up for the Ravens, the Cleveland Browns in Monday night football.
In Baseball, the Chicago White Sox picked up right hander Lance Lynn in a trade with the Texas Rangers. Texas picks up Dane Dunning from the Sox.
The future for James Harden with the Houston Rockets may be in jeopardy. Harden has expressed at the start of training camp that he would be open to a trade with the Sixers or another contender according to reports. The Rockets have Harden under contract through the 22-23 season. We will keep an eye on this.
The Indiana University football team has stopped all team-related activities because of an increase in coronavirus within the program. The team did not practice Tuesday morning. All players and Tier I coaches and staff underwent polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing. The decision to pause was made by the IU Athletics Medical Advisory Group. The Purdue football team also decided not to practice Tuesday. They are evaluating coronavirus test results. IU and Purdue are scheduled to play each other in the Old Oaken Bucket Game Saturday.
