Michael Alan Eck was born July 11, 1959, in Peterburg, to Austin and Carma (Chew) Eck. He lived his life in Peterburg where he was very loved by friends and family. Mike enjoyed being active in the community and engaged in conversation with anyone who was willing. Mike was a devout parishioner at the Gospel Center Church, Peterburg. Mike spent his days cheering on his family at sporting events and competitions, and he was known to end his day by reading his bible and doing crossword puzzles.

Mike attended Peterburg Elementary and graduated high school from Pike Central (1978). While in high school Mike excelled in Football and Baseball and was offered several scholarships. Mike was the 1st person to hit a home run out of the newly built Pike Central Chargers field. Mike loved basketball but did not play because he refused to cut his hair.

Mike was a man fond of love and was married twice, Starla Wiseman, deceased, and Christina Eck. He had enormous love for his children and grandchildren and would share with everyone how proud he was of each one. He was known to be the 2nd hardest worker, only under his father Austin Eck.
