The Titans lost their top cornerback and receiver to drug suspensions this week.
The Bears look to snap a five-game losing streak on Sunday when they host the Detroit Lions in a battle of two struggling teams. The Bears started the season at 5-1 but have dropped their last five, their worst skid since 2007 under coach John Fox. Detroit cleaned house last week firing general manager Bob Quinn and head coach Matt Patricia following a Thanksgiving Day loss to Houston. Kick off is set for 1pm Sunday.
The Cincinnati Reds have announced they have declined deals to three players including reliever Archie Bradley, catcher Curt Casali, and outfielder Brian Goodwin. The Reds did offer a one year major league deal to infielder Kyle Farmer. The 30-year old Farmer can play any position in the infield and hit .266 last season.
Alabama Football coach Nick Saban has announced he is cleared to travel with the team today to play LSU. Saban says he is ready to get back in the swing of things after testing positive for COVID on November 24. Top ranked Alabama will play LSU in Baton Rouge tomorrow.
Purdue Quarterback Aidan O’Connell who started the first three games for the Boilers this season will be out the rest of the year for surgery on his foot. O’Connell injured his foot back on Halloween when Purdue defeated Illinois: O’Connell will not have this season count against his eligibility.
No surprises in top 25 college hoops yesterday as Kansas, Virginia Tech, Arizona State, and Iowa all posted wins.
