Richard L. “Dick” Myers

Richard L. “Dick” Myers, 82, of Plainville, IN, passed away November 28, 2020 in Washington, IN.
Dick was a lifelong, fifth generation farmer, in Daviess County. His family farm received the 100 Year Award from the State of Indiana in 2011. He was a member of the Indiana Farm Bureau, and an Army veteran.
Surviving is his son, Michael R. Myers and his wife, Christine (Watland) of Washington, IN; his daughter, Julie Ann (Myers) Taylor and her husband, C. Michael, of Washington, IN; his sister, Norma Hurley of Scottsburg, IN; his grandchildren, Chance Logan Taylor, Shelby Paige Taylor, Benjamin Richard Myers, and Alexander Paul Myers; a special friend, Rhonda; and several nieces and nephews.
Born April 18, 1938, in Daviess County, IN, he was the son of Floyd H. and Margaret (Hart) Myers. His parents; his wife, Harriett (Shepherd) Myers, whom he married January 6, 1962 and who passed away March 12, 2010; his siblings, Phyliss Meek and her husband, Aden, Vonda Scott and her husband, Prentiss, William A. Myers and his wife, Mary Ann, Shirley O’Hara and her husband, Joe, and Nathan Robert Myers; and a brother-in-law, Robert Hurley, preceded him.
Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 – 8:00 on Wednesday, at the Goodwin-Sievers Funeral Home, 2020 State Street, Washington, IN. The family asks that masks be worn and social distancing maintained. Funeral services will be private.
