A traffic stop lead to a foot chase and eventually two arrests early Monday morning. Indiana state police pulled over a Chevy Impala after they noticed a vehicle equipment violation. The Driver was identified as 48-year-old Brian Bobbitt of Princeton who had a warrant out for his arrest. A female passenger was also identified as 26-year-old Kyanna McRoberts of Oakland City.

Bobbitt was ordered out of the car, but upon exiting the vehicle he ran towards a barbed wire fence from which he was able to begin climbing after striking the officer. The officer deployed his taser, which sent Bobbitt over the fence. Bobbitt immediately pulled out the prongs and continued running. Bobbitt lead the officer on a foot chase through an abandon farm house, but was eventually caught by police after assistance from a Haubstadt Police Officer.

McRoberts fled the scene, but was eventually picked up on County Road 800 South. Upon searching the vehicle, police found Marijuana, Meth, and Paraphernalia. Both were arrested on several charges and booked into the Gibson County Jail.
