Elizabeth Kay Hamaker, age 30, of Shoals, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 9:55 a.m. after a brief illness.
She was born November 11, 1989 in Logansport, Indiana to Mark and Linda (Bauer) Hamaker. She was a vital part of Christian ministry in various locations, along with her parents.
Elizabeth loved babies and children and helped to care for several during her life. She experienced cancer as a child and developed a Sunshine Ministry, sending cards and stickers to childhood cancer victims. She could remember fine details and used them as ways to encourage both young and old.
She was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Harreld and Martha Hamaker and maternal grandfather, Arnold Bauer.
Elizabeth is survived by her parents, Mark and Linda, and by a brother, Jonathan (Mary) Hamaker, and nieces, Isabelle and Sofia. Her maternal grandmother, Janice (Bauer) and Delmas Hamm, also survives, along with a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 29, 2020 at Blake & Wagler Funeral Home in Montgomery. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery – Reeve Township.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, October 28, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Blake & Wagler Funeral Home and Thursday, October 29, 2020 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
