The Hoosier state continues to see an increase in COVID-19 cases. Over the weekend, the Indiana State Department of Health reported 2,175 new cases of coronavirus across the state. That brings the total number of Hoosiers infected with COVID-19 to 162,607. The department also reported 12 more deaths due to coronavirus. That brings the total number of Hoosiers who’ve died due to the virus to 3,894. So far, over 2.7-million people have been tested for COVID-19 in Indiana. After several days of breaking single-day positive test records, Indiana’s current overall positivity rate sits at 5.8-percent.
