The Pike County Health Department has released a statement asking residents to help in the fight against the virus. The Pike County Health Department reports they have seen an increase of positive individuals and close contacts not answering calls or texts from the tracing center. The Pike County Public Health nurse stresses that quickly answering these calls or texts are very important to decrease the spread of the virus. They are asking residents to be completely honest about disclosing all of your contacts so as to better protect the community.

Close contacts will get daily text message surveys and it is important that you fill those out daily. They also stress how important it is to quarantine for the full 14 days.
